Hey Crono,

Regular was $1.699 yesterday here in the Sierra's. It's been going up 2 or 3 cents every day. It's getting ugly!!!

Gas is now $1.49.9 here in the west Texas mts.

Glad we got an economical vehicle, cause it's 30 to 60 miles to even find a gas station. Has gone up from $1.38 about a week ago.

Shades of 1979...

Stopped at the local "Merit" station in my town for my once weekly fill up on Monday. Found half the nozzles had locks and covers with "DO NOT USE" printed on them.

I think it's going to get worse before it gets better.

On the local the local "homesteading" forum (www.backwoodshome.com) someone is promoting April 7,8, and 9 as a "Gasoline Boycott" day. It is proposed that we all defer buying gasoline on those days to demonstrate "the power of the marketplace." According to the proponant, a similar one day boycott on April 30, 1999 had some substantive effect.

I'm not so sure. We're "got" and that's that.

Best regards,

Gas prices here in Toronto jumped $0.05 yesterday or $0.20/gal! We're now at 71.9 per litre which is $2.876 per US gal or $3.515 per CDN gal. And that's Regular. High test is 0.10/litre more!

Not as bad as some places but "ouch" anyway, after paying as low as 60.9 for reg. in Georgia for a couple years before thi

I PAY HALF PRICE FOR GAS!!!!!. This is how. I go to the coinshop and buy Morgan silver dollars for around $8 each. Then I fill up my van at about $18. I go to pay and lay $18 and a silver dollar on the counter. All I say......I can pay you $18 cash or trade you this 1927 silver dollar. Which do you want? Many times they are excited to get the silver dollar offer and go for it.

Hey, here in Oz we pay about 80 odd cents a LITRE! That puts it about $3.00 a gallon. Average pay here would be, at a guess, around $300-$350 after tax a week.

I know I already replied, but that was yesterday's price. Today is up another $.03 across the grades. I shouldn't need to fillup for another 5 days.

$1.85 $1.95 $2.05
