Anybody see this months National Geographic article of the Matidi reserve in Bolivia. Joel Sartori has a photo of pierid butterflies on a sandy river bank. There is great depth of field and yet sufficient lighting to capture a butterfly in flight. And yet the photo must have been taken at minimum focus to get the large image of the relatively small pierid butterfly (the same family as our more familiar whites. The question is I dont know any lens that would give as much depth as this photo has while photographing at minimum focus with a fast speed.
