Notice the lyrics to lo-fidelity song? (song at the end of "Be Still My Heart")

greenspun.com : LUSENET : ER Discussions : One Thread

I don't know if anyone noticed the song that was being played when Carter and Lucy were stabbed, it was Battleflag by Lo-fidelity Allstars. Everyone was saying how it was 'scary' sounding, and it kind of is. I mean, they used it as a soundtrack to a murder scene! But anyways, my point. I have a cd with that song on it and they guy is singing something like: "Tell me what you need, Tell me whats makin' ya bleed, Were gonna get you medicine gonna get you what ya need..." If the lyrics were printed on the cover I would know what else he was saying. Does anyone have all the lyrics? Just thought this was interesting! Pretty good song too.

"Come on baby tell me, Yes we aim to please..." is a bit more of it. I'd like to know the rest too.

Here's the whole song, I tried to edit the strong vocabulary:

Battleflag Your construction Smells of corruption I manipulate to recreate This air to ground saga Gotta launder my karma I said hallelujah to the sixteen loyal fans Youll get down on your muthaf----n' knees And it's time for your sickness again Come on and tell me what you need Tell me what is making you bleed We got two more minutes and We gonna cut to what you need So one of six so tell me One do you want to live And one of seven tell me Is it time for your muthaf----n' a-s to give Tell me is it time to get down on your muthaf----n' knees Tell me is it time to get down

I'm blown to the maxim Two hemispheres battlin' I'm blown to the maxim Two hemispheres battlin' Suckin' up, one last breath Take a drag off of death

Hey Mr. Policeman Is it time for getting away Is it time for driving down the mother f----n' road And running from your a-s today

Now tell me if do you agree Or tell me if I'm makin you bleed I got a few more minutes and I'm gonna cut to what you need So one of six so tell me One do you want to live And one of seven tell me Is it time for your muthaf----n' a-s to give Tell me is it time to get down on your muthaf----n' knees Tell me is it time to get down

Got a revolution behind my eyes We got to get up and organize Got a revolution behind my eyes We got to get up and organize Got a revolution behind my eyes We got to get up and organize You want a revolution behind your eyes We got to get up and organize

Come on baby tell me Yes we aim to please

Response to Notice the lyrics to lo-fidelity song?

Can someone help me out here, a few weeks back someone posted a realplayer link to the song. I loved it and listened to it almost everyday but now its stopped working. Im positive its not on my end and I think the link may have just been moved. If anyone can shed some light on this or even post a link to another one I would just love it.

Has anyone been able to find any Mp3's of this song? If not, would anyone care to make one and trade me for it?

This song is also on the "Forces of Nature" soundtrack, with Ben Affleck and Sandra Bullock, if you want to buy it.

And since I'm writing anyways, I thought I'd just comment on how surprised I am that the ER writers picked a song with lyrics that go somewhat with what is happening (if only in a symbolic way) ...very creepy. I also agree the music added a haunting background, but to find out what the lyrics are is even more spooky.

Hi, I posted the link to the RA file of Battle Flag. It stopped working because Geocities went down and I had to move it to my old server at Freespeech.

Try these links: http://er_mal.tripod.com/battleflag.ram (site of my future ER website)

http://www.freespeech.org/minervamoon/battleflag.rm (paste this into 'Open Loctaion')

This is the version of the song that does not contain the explicit lyrics present in the (Lo-Fi) album version.

Does anyone know how to save the battleflag.ram file to your hard drive? I've tried doing so, but it will only play when I'm online. Thank you very much!

Hi again! The RA file can only play online, because I programmed it so :). However if you request the mp3, I will send it to you.

This song is also featured on the movies "The Mod Squad" and "Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels", although not featured on the soundtrack. I live in Canada, and it is featured on a station identification clip for MuchMusic. Just an interesting note.

In danger to totally embarass myself: who are the Lo-Fidelity Allstars? I really like this song, and I somehow had the feeling I knew the voices from somewhere...

Never mind the lyrics, I can't figure out which CD this particular version of the song is on. I bought a Brit import maxi-single from Amazon, but the version of Battleflag is different than what was on ER and on the radio -- a bit muddy. Then I got the whole CD album from the library and it's the same version that's on my CD. There's yet another CD single Brit import at Amazon, but I don't feel like paying the $10+ for one song.

I bought the "Forces of Nature" soundtrack after the epi aired to get a PG version of the song. It's probably as close as you're going to get to the version played on ER.

I live in Britain and I had the Lo Fidelity Allstars CD way before it was on E.R. The correct version that was in E.R. is on this CD except the swear words are kept in rather than slightly dubbed out. The CD is called "How to Operate with a Blown Mind". Maybe Benton and Corday should check it out. Sorry, bad joke. The title is quite ironic and no one seemed to mention that the song was in "Forces of Nature" along with 'Abby'! Creepy or what.
