Black Generation

greenspun.com : LUSENET : PosterShop Talk : One Thread

I want to print Black (line from quark etc., no image). The Black prints only with black color. The result on most media is poor color an stripes. Now I want to change to a black what is build with cmyk, f. e. 50,50,50,100. I thought I could handle that with "Properties"->RGB Black Generation. But that doesn`t work. Can I do it with that point? If yes, what do I have to do? (I tested it like descibed in User4s guide: no ICC Input Prof. is specified). Thx for help

This might be irrelevant, but why not define the color in Quark as wanted? The color coming from Quark is most likely defined in CMYK so the RGB Black Generation won't help you.

If you have PRO or Prof. Server version of the PosterShop you can do it with Color Correction -> Color Replacement tool. Just change color 0 % C 0 % M 0% Y 100 % K to whatever you want. If you don't have the Color Correction features, the only thing is to try to change ICC CMYK Input Profile to something other, BigCMYK, for example. I am not sure whether that last trick works.

Hope this helps!
