Hi, Just wondering if anyone could tell me what Independant Service means? Been wondering for a while.

Thanks.

Simply put, when the elevator is put on independant service it isolates that car from any others in the bank of cars and can only be run from the inside car station. The floor button or door close button has to be held in until the door closes all the way for the car to run. It saves wear and tear when used for moving any sort of freight or material. It's also found on single units.
