I've got to mention how much Carter falls down

Okay, just as a lighter note, for no particular reason, after recalling some past episodes, I thought I'd mention how kind of unbelievable it is how many times Carter falls down.

He fell down in Blizzard when Mark and Susan put a cast on his leg while he was sleeping, he fell off his chair when Susan came in with her pregnant sister Chloe in Motherhood, he apparently got knocked over by a door that Benton charged through, he fell in the ER doorway during a snowstorm while he was bringing Anna breakfast and it all flew everywhere, he fell down while hunting around Chicago with Lucy (that was adorable), he got kicked in the chest by Lucy and fell over...maybe more? Not to mention him spraying pepper spray in his eyes and getting shocked. Now I absolutely love Carter's character, he's adorable and I like him even more every episode, but I never noticed what a goofball they made him!

He also fell that one time coming out of the portable john in a snowstorm once when he got paged (and it was only as a joke). Plus, and I cant remember which one this ep was either, but he fell down when he was bringing in a stretcher with a patient from the ambulance bay.

Those were all cute too. =)

Sure, but have you ever seen any character look as cute after he scrapes himself up off the floor. I think that we have seen his character "evolve" / grow-up more than any other on the show.

Carter also came very close to falling after he donated blood in the ER at the same time he was wearing that goofy looking mask thingy when everyone was being fitted for them (I can't remember the episode, but it was this season). As soon as they took the needle out he jumped right up., ready to go back to work. Kerry told him to go get some orange juice and he said he was fine, then almost immediately lost his balance. His look of confusion was too cute!

I laughed reading these. You don't realize how "clumsy" he is until you see it all together. Still, I think it stems from a strong love of living and that's what is most endearing. I've had friends who were always hurting themselves...they were usually the friends though that I wanted around when I needed to laugh or cry, the ones who enjoyed life.

He was on the floor of the trauma room the other night after the docs unstuck the Glue Brothers. He and the non-skewered brother landed there when a mighty shove separated the boys.

He is soo cute, even if he is a major klutz!! I think that Noah Wyle deserves credit for being able to play someone who can get away with being such a goofball and still have some serios scenes!

The one time he *didn't* fall was while carrying a transplantation kidney from one OR to the other (S3). And remember when Peter shoves him and he tumbles?

I love Carter too! He is my favorite character, and Noah Wyle does the best job portraying him! I always loved the scenes where he fell, because it showed Carter's inexperience and innocence! It is wonderful to see!

Also, as I have noticed throughout the show, I think that Carter is probably the best character when dealing with elderly patients. He is so caring and understanding. While most doctors probably don't care enough about the elderly patients, Carter always puts extra effort into caring for them.

I also remember an episode where Susan Lewis was talking to Carter, and she told him that the staff used to worry about him because he cared to much! He is just wonderful!

Sorry about talking about Carter too much, but I just absolutely love him! :)

He also fell at the beginning of "Family matters" (I forget why) and as he was lying flat on his back, a stylishly-shod foot appears by his his and he queries, "Deb?" "Yes, John, it's me," and that was Jing-mei's introduction back to the show.

And he fainted in "Welcome Back, Carter" (premier of Season 2).
