NWA Flight Makes Emergency Landing WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn., Posted 10:43 a.m. CST March 6, 2000 -- A Northwest flight on its way to Minneapolis made an emergency landing Monday morning.

The pilot reported smoke in the cockpit just minutes after takeoff from Bradley International Airport in Connecticut.

The DC-9 was carrying 39 people, and landed safely.

An airport spokesman says that there was no fire in the cockpit, and the Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the cause of the incident.

No injuries were reported.

The passengers were booked on other flights.
