Opta Soccer has more news about the young-gun Abders D'Alessandro possible move to England as they've reported that now Liverpool has sent an official fax on Wednesday. "The fax arrived at the club, signed by Gustavo Mascardi, informing us of the interest from Liverpool," said David Pintado, the President of the Argentinians.

According to the S/Sun, the Toon have offered #3mm ($5mm) for the D'Alessandro, but that Liverpool have doubled that offer! They quote a Director from his Club, River PLate, as saying " Andres will soon be a Liverpool player". There are doubts however, that he will be able to obtain the European passport he needs for any move to the PL.

Anelka has revealed why he has boycotted training with Real Madrid recently - ""No one would listen to me, so I had to do something. When I am on the pitch I don't get any passes and I can't play my game. I need space and long balls (don't we all!)". His manager responded "Nicolas is just confused. He lives in a world of his own, and he will have to get out of it".
