Focus on 6x9 enlarger with 50 mm lens

I have a Beseler 23CIII enlarger and I don't get focus with a Schneider 50 mm lens althougt I use a lensboard adviced by the company.Could anyone help me ? What am I doing wrong? Renan

At least.You have to use the lense 90 mm. or more. Because,the 50 mm.lense is suitable for 135 format camera film.You have think that you use the normal lense for each format.Example 135=50or more 6*6.45=75or more 6*6=80or more 4"*5"=135or more

It's the promblem about the enlarger bellow.Let's try to move high and fogus it again or move low and do it thesame.

I use a 23CIII at work. Someone else mis-understood, but I assume you want to enlarge 35mm negs with a 50mm lens. I have no problem with a flat lens board. For 6x6 I use an 80mm lens fitted to an (cup like) extended lens board.

I've never used the 23C but the 4X5 version has an adjustable focal length condenser system. Pictures I've seen of the 23C look like it uses the same system. Conversely check your instruction booklet you may need a supplementary condenser like some of the Omega enlargers.
