silence is not golden, It is now time for the Govt's to come clean on the y2k oil crisis, wall street is waiting

By now we know that y2k is not a bump in the road but a serious developing economic crisis in the making if the govt's dont come clean and tell us what the sitrep is.

World markets are being rocked by the staggering rise in fuel costs since Jan 1. If no y2k problem why the steep rise in prices. Dosent make sense. The rise in fuel prices indicate a genuine oil shortage that is not being contained.

If they dont want to lose market stability they need to give an honest sitrep report and introduce price stabilizing measures immediately before they lose the markets. If the news is good share it officially, if it is not give a positive approach in how it is being handled. Good positive leadership will make the markets stabilize and leave us hopeful that we will have a sound economy for the near forseeable future..

Anyone who has seen the Clinton administration in action knows the impossiblity of them ever taking a leadership role and telling the truth about anything.

It may well not be a coverup. If no one at the Department of Energy KNOWS the impact that embedded systems failures can have on refineries, pipelines, and rigs, they may not be feigning ignorance of the problems. They simply may not understand that Y2K could be related to the problems that the oil and gas sector here and abroad is having. Strange, but it could be all too true.....

If anyone knows the name of an individual at the Energy Department with embedded systems expertise, please post it here. I have been looking. Have not found anyone yet. Thanks!
