greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

Just a quick note to say that I'm still handling about 12 requests per day for passwords; various ex-Communicata lurkers coming out of the woodwork I think, but also som enew ones being forwarded on by either word of mouth or via the BBS lists.

Avid readers will have noticed the Reed family presence on this site doubled last night with the first posting from my Newcastle-based big brother Andy. Just gotta get my Leeds-based cousins (Dread give them a poke at the THT will you) on, and the Reed family thought police can patrol 24 hours a day

Thanx for the update Dunx.

It all sounds very healthy and +ve. I was getting a little concerned about several, previous high-volume, posters seeming to have lost interest.

For whatever reason, we do seem to experience more dead periods on here than on TFBB, but personally, I think there have been some excellent debates on here already.

Getting some new contributors is great news for the rude health of the community - not to mention the (occasional) rude language! Long may this thing reign supreme.

And while you're on.......just to remind you, Dunx......as me ole Dad used to say...

"We rise up and call you Blessed !!"

Thanks again Dunx for all your hard work. The offer of a pint still stands! ;-)

Clarky,

We are missing a few of the old high-profilers; notably Rik, Swifty and Jonno. However, Swifty is up to his eyeballs in a new job in London and probably still crying into his 2.50 pint at having to part with his flat on Leazes Terrace. Jonno is working somewhere, and Rik is touring the after-dinner speech circuit after being nominated for an award by the Grauniad.

Oh and we're missing Dogual's doom and gloom as she's on her hols.

I agree with all that - you were a real lifesaver!!!

It's like the lost flock being gathered in by the trusty old shepherd. I rarely comment but regularly read and when Communicata pulled the plug I felt I was staring into an abyss, all alone. But life has meaning once again. I could do with a few more of Swift's Speculative Sensations though! I'm still waiting for the #7,000,000 to be transferred from the bank account in Madrid for Junhino! The discussion, debate and humour on this forum far outweighs others I've read. We could do with everyone adding at least one posting each to the Kettering Town FC forum (http://discserver.snap.com/Indicies/40626.html) to raise the level of debate and stop the sabotage from those with fixations on inbreeding! God Bless y'all Rich
