A Delta Air Lines 727 carrying 112 people returned to Tulsa International Airport on Thursday after a cockpit warning light indicated a possible problem with an engine.

It was the second time in three days that a Delta 727 made an emergency landing at the airport.

Flight 805 had just taken off at about 8 a.m. for Salt Lake City when the pilot reported an engine warning light, Delta spokeswoman Peggy Estes said. The jet carried 106 passengers and six crew members.

"The pilot turned around to come back to Tulsa and emergency crews were called out as a precautionary measure," Estes said.

The plane landed safely with no apparent problems, despite reports that the light indicated an engine fire.

The passengers were transferred to other flights, Estes said.

A Delta flight from Little Rock, Ark., to Dallas was diverted to Tulsa on Tuesday after a warning light indicated a possible problem with the hydraulic system. That flight also landed safely.
