Tornadoes in Texas

greenspun.com : LUSENET : DaVinci's Exile Test : One Thread

Ok, in case any of you see the reports of tornadoes in Texas my family is Ok. As far as I know Jamais's family is ok too. One of my brothers, who lives in Arlington, has no power due to downed power lines but the tornadoes missed his home completely. I hope all of our online friends in Oklahoma are out of the danger zone now too!

Hey! We're all fine but how are you?!!! When will you be around again? I'm so glad I came online during my lunch break. : ) I would've posted a follow up note earlier but Katie's 9 week old kitten gnawing on my cords and cables, I had to temporarily shut down my home computer. I should be able to turn everything on again this weekend! Yee haw! That kitten's cute but I'll be so glad to see it leave.

Thanks for asking, Laighe (and for the cute sheep ecard!! How ... wonderfully weird!). I'm doing a lot better, though I got strep throat while at the hospital. Figures. Damn hospitals ... fulla germs. I've got a really sexy bass voice right now -- I sound like Barry White. Heh.

Re kitten and computer cords: three words -- hot pepper oil. :-) Seriously, we put pepper spray stuff (the red peppers, not the kind that you use against muggers) on some of the chairs that the cats like to claw, bite, lick, and otherwise maul to death. The spray doesn't hurt them, but it's a taste they don't like. YOu can pick it up at the pet food store. Let me know if you can't find any and I'll send some down south for ya'll.

It's Friday night, which means Farscape and Harsh Realm. I'll try coming on after them, if I can keep my eyes open!

Laighe, tornados Suck!~~so do earthquakes, cyclones, hurricanes, and floods. It was a relief to know you survived the hit. The kitten might gain a name now: Toto.

Editrix? This may the moment for Voice Chat in Exile to share your temporary Barry White voice. I was hitting my forehead against the digital screen... trying to see if I had lost a day, or if it were really April Fool's Day.....! ! ! The reason is that I see Friday morning on my computer, and I was reading your note that it was Friday Night on your post. Maybe we can catch up with everyone on an "April 1st" visit ~~and set our clocks to "Spring" ahead for the Daylight Savings Time season. Ciao...

I'll look for you all later tonight. We're going out to celebrate having a pet free home again! Katie came back safely from Spring Break and just left with her pets. Hooray!!! Yee Haw!!! Edit, I'll tell Katie about ther pepper spray. Sib, Toto is too sweet a name for that kitten. I vote for naming him Taz after the Tazmanian Devil!
