MVF4s at Fast by Ferracci Open House

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MV Agusta F4 : One Thread

I was at Fast By Ferracci, PA this past weekend for their open house, which was a nice event. They had Ducatis and a Cagive Gran Canyon that one can take out to test ride. They also had a US spec F4s. They told me that the bike is being broken in, put some miles on, for a magazine test. Some lucky guy had the task of putting miles on the F4s!!! I was also told that Ferracci will receive all the bikes from Italy and they then send them out to US dealers.

I also learned more facts about the F4s. -Low numbers imported into the US, just under the AMA homologation numbers. This means that the F4s is not allowed to be raced. MV wants to be the first to race the bike. -Transmission is a self contained unit. Gearing can be changed easily. -Quick release front hub, and single sided rear swingarm, means easyy wheel changes. -Radiator heat escapes through a tunnel under the body and out towards the rear wheel. Added extra heat for the rear tire.

If anyone has any other info please share...

I just contacted them. They tell me they are expecting the bikes in a couple of weeks. They also told me that they are not getting all the F4s and distributing to other dealers, my mistake, but they are going to sell some to other dealers. We'll know by the third week if April then.

Did anyone at Ferracci have dates available on when the bikes would start showing up at the dealers.
