Does the Newcastle Brown brewery know what they're doing?

...by giving up sponsorship of the shirts next season?

Now that it's spring in New England..meaning warmer temps and lots of rain..I'm finally able to wear my NUFC rain jacket(with big Brown Ale logo on back). Last night I was in a pub somewhere in the armpit of Massachusetts to see one of my favorite singers. Several people, including the pub owner, came up to compliment the jacket. Not a single one of them knew of NUFC. Somehow I don't thinkt NTL's logo is going to generate quite as much interest.

I used to like the S&N blue star the best mesell like. I've never been a great fan of the dorty big beer mat. Remember Greenall's beer on the front of the bar code shirt. AAHHhh unhappy days. One thing to remember from today NEVER by Greenall's beer.

I'm gonna miss the old beer mat, certainly not looking forward to it being replaced by NTL...

I've always thought it very appropriate that Newcastle United were associated with alcohol.....

Do we know for sure it's going to be ntl: on the shirts. I felt part of the deal was to do with their Premium TV subsidiary.

MAYBE the word "Premium" on the front is okay, need to see it

aye Gav, wouldn't fret about the NUFC being not associated with beer, not in my life time anyway, mind you with Premium TV in Newcastle, perhaps everyone will not be going out on sat'dee neet?!!!
