Kerry leaving?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : ER Discussions : One Thread

A friend and I were discussing the length of time ER has left (i.e. seasons). She said since two of the actors' contracts end next year (Greene & Carter) and with two more leaving the show might end next year. I asked her which two and she said Carol, which we all know. And she said she heard that Kerry is leaving sometime beginning of next season. Has anyone else heard this? Any details?

I haven't heard anything. I hope she doesn't leave. I was thinking that the suspension storyline of last night's episode would allow Laura Innes time to direct some more episodes of ER. She did such a wonderful job with "Be Still my Heart".

Noah Wyle and Anthony Edwards signed brand new four year contract right before season five started. After this season , they have two years left on ER before their contracts run out. Laura Innes contract runs out at the end of season seven . Laura Innes told Rosie recently that she loves being on ER. I expect Laura to sign a new contract. Who knows maybe Noah, Anthony , and Eriq will re sign in two years as well.

Aaack!! It's all getting very confusing! Let me see if I have this straight.

We all know that JM's contract is up end of the season & that she's leaving. AE & NW have 2 more years on their contracts so they are on thru season 8 (2002). ELS signed a new 3 year contract early this season so that means he's on either thru season 8 or 9 (2002 or 2003)Do contracts start when the old ones run out? If thats the case, then he's on thru season 9. LI's is up after season 7.(2001) Does this sound right to everyone?

Does anyone know when AK's contract is up? How bout the rest of the crew?

PS. I really, really hope LI stays! I just love Kerry! She's so fun to watch!

I doubt LI is leaving. Under another poat I mentioned that Laura said she'd be directing a West Wing and possibly another ER this season, so that was probably just a way to get her out of the show for a week or two to go off and direct.

Uhhh... why don't you ask your friend WHERE she heard it from before we all get our knickers in a twist.

I mean, a passing maniac on my street screamed yesterday, "ER HAS BEEN CANCELLED!", so it must be true, of course.
