I'm plan to purchase a Maine coon-i was wondering how is it pronunced. I've heard many people refer to Maine coon's as Mann coon? i thought it was pronunced like the state (Maine)?

I've only heard one other person pronounce it as "Mann" and I couldn't figure out why. The Maine Coon IS named for the state of Maine.
