Where's the best place in town to get your drink on?

gay karaoke bars as big as a broom closet in alleyways are indeed EXACTLY my idea of a good time. way better than virtual's! i keep intending to take my mom to it. she's a bit of a fag hag. i still haven't inflicted my singing voice on anyone there. i almost got my "my funny valetine" on that night but I no like make "A." just don't ask me to do any Aretha covers. i couldn't carry a tune with handles/ in a bucket. that one guy asked me if i was guy within about 2 minutes of talking to me. guess his gaydar wasn't on. or maybe i should start hitting for the other team? lord knows i'm on a dry spell. thank god i have the movie and don't actually care right now!

but on to prononouncements: the best place to get your drink on in hawaii according to my humble opinion is duke's: on the water next to where i grew up surfing, indoor/outdoor/lanai-feel, great decor of native koa wood panelling and vintage surf memorabilia. i'm ambivalent about the universally hot waitresses there tho. models in general for me are nice to look at but eventually a little depressing, inaccesible sirens of society's oppressively commodified conventions of desirability.

Hey Boyce! How about that bar I took you to the night of Jesse's birthday? :o) "In Between" deserves a vote, huh? I guess voting for Gordon Biersch and Pipeline would be a bit biased, wouldn't you say? Oh well, that's where I spend most of my time drinking, anyway! I hear that Pipeline just got their 4 a.m. license! SCARY! Talk to you soon! Aloha, ~j~
