Airliner makes emergency landing at Sea-Tac Tuesday, April 11, 2000

SEATAC -- An American Airlines flight from Miami to Seattle safely made an emergency landing Tuesday morning at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

Airport spokesman Bob Parker said the Boeing 767 landed without incident, and all 80 people aboard Flight 27 were safe.

The flight crew had reported a hydraulic failure on widebody aircraft, which has backup systems, Parker said.
