Title: Power Supply to Abid Town Restored after 24 Hours KARACHI (April 19) : The supply of KESC sub-station at Abid Town, Gulshan-e-Iqbal on Monday completely destroyed by fire, was restored after 24 hours, the spokesman said.

Investigation is under way to find out the reason of burning that caused loss of Rs 2 million.

The managing director, KESC, Brig Syed Shahid Mukhtar Shah, visited the spot. He inspected the sub-station and checked the installation of transformers.

Engineers with the help of 750 kva and 500 kva transformers energised the area, the switch gear was replaced by the switch ring main unit to control the transformers and the four light tension cable burnt were also repaired. The entire work was carried out at the cost of Rs 1.5 million, the spokesman added.--PPI
