Did anyone see previews for next week (April 27)?

Did anyone see any previews after ER tonight? The voice over said to stay tuned for previews of upcoming ER episodes, but then my station went directly to the local news. Was this just my local station, or were no previews shown? If anyone saw them, please describe! Thanks!

Here's what I remember. Carter, seated, grinning at someone. Dr. Dave reading a story to a little girl. Peter and Cleo out in the sun, presumably on their L.A. trip. Kerry waving to a little girl who's playing a game with her, hiding behind a plant and peeking out. Mark and his dad standing up in a big boat out on the water. Carol and Luka at Wrigley Field. A solo of Carol, with the narrator mentioning her departure in May.

It went as so:

- What appears to be parents of a child caressing the child in a trauma room. Or it may not be a child and parents. Don't know. 2 people and someone on a gurney is the bottom line.

- Carter smiling at someone

- Dave reading a book to a little girl (he's going soft)

- Kerry smiling and waving at a child peeking out from behind a cart of supplies. (aw!)

- Cleo and Peter walking down a sunny tree-lined street, Cleo kissing Peter's hand. (I have to admit they looked pretty adorable in the 2 second clip here)

- Luka turning to Carol smiling...they are sitting in the middle of an empty stadium.

- Mark and his dad on a boat, both looking quite happy.

- ends with that shot from last week's preview of Julianna turning her head.

Announcer dude throughout: "The show you love brings you new stories of hope...and glimmers of magic (as they show Cleo and Peter and then Luka and Carol..."magic"?!?!)...4 all new episodes in a row...including a final farewell to a friend."

Thank-You so much for the preview info, up here in Canada they didn't show ANY previews, it was very frustrating. If anybody has anything else to add to this, I would love to here it.

No additional info here, just my reaction to the preview... I would love to see Kerry get involved in a storyline where her mothering instincts were allowed to flourish...I know the adoption issue has been done almost to death on the show, but given Kerry's history and all, I'd love to see her get involved in a child's life. And also interesting that Peter's supposed custody trial hasn't been given much mention...hopefully next season will be the one in which everyone who wants a kid gets one...:)

Mark and his dad on the boat...looked kinda cheesy in the 2 seconds we were shown, but hopefully it symbolizes the fact that M and D are on the same page finally and accepting of D's death and joy still left in his life.

All in all, though, it seemed like what they were trying to illustrate was that the next 4 epis will be "feel good" epis... no horrible traumas, no kids stuck in drain pipes or other typical Sweeps-period drama...but then, given that these were "ER" previews, we should know not to trust them...I dunno. Can't wait, though.

I agree they had a light-hearted-spring-is-n-the-air feel to them, but they made me smile too. Even the scene with Peter and Cleo looked nice, but you're right these previews can be so off base (remember Luka's "defining moment?"). Sigh...4 to go I guess before reruns.

Peter's custody case hasn't been mentioned because when Roger (Carla's husband) asked for the time off for the trial, his boss decided he wasn't 'promotion material' and therefore he didn't get the job in Germany so they stayed in Chicago, thereby eliminating any need for the trial.

I agree, it was very "springy"...happy scenes, EVERYONE smiling, the voiceover talking about "the show you love...bringing new hope and magic", even the music fit. I admit Benton and Cleo did look cute walking on that street. And I'm sure that Mark and David's boat trip will be very touching, but it *was* a little cheesy in the previews...I was thinking "Titanic" the way it looked! This must be the one they had to go to Chicago to film. And it was good to see Carter smiling and a sweet side of Dr. Dave. The only thing is, (SPOILER!!!) isn't this the one where Carter is supposed to be "tormented by visions of the attack?"...it doesn't quite fit with the rest, but then maybe they want to shock us with something!

What I don't understand is why they made the preview look like the "ER" was going to be filled with smiling faces and magical moments when really, May is going to be filled with heart-wrenching goodbyes (Carol, David Greene), emotional torment (Carter, maybe Luka), etc. Talk about misleading ads!!

Oh yes, and I believe I'll officially be needing a barf bag while watching Cleo and Peter run around LA together (hey, here's a thought, maybe on their way home they can head north a bit and pick up a certain You-Know-Who? ;-).

I was waiting for Cleo to rip Peter's shirt off and knock him to the sidewalk. Guess they cut that part out of the clip. :)

I agree with everyone else. It was a very springy preview, but not much information really, especially for four more weeks. They did one at the end of FRIENDS last week showing the next few epis. It went on forever and really set up the stories that are coming. I thought we might get a bit more than we did. And since it was all clips set to a voiceover, we didn't even get any dialogue.

I'm 2 weeks behind you all cos I'm in the UK! Talk about frustrating!

Did ANYONE recognize who Carter was talking to ???

-- (trelles@ix.netcom.com), April 25, 2000.

trelles...since everyone is wondering, I decided to look again, and the guy Carter is talking to does look like the psych guy who was called down for the consult on Paul Sobricki in All in the Family. I'm really not sure though, but it would make sense for him to be smiling at him, acting like everything is fine. Perhaps Kerry asks him to talk to Carter, but I don't know if she could just do that, and Carter probably wouldn't be too happy about that. Just an idea.
