Saint James's "A venue lost in time".

From the Guardian: "For all the improvements, for all the forward thinking, the great charm of Saint James's is that it is essentially a venue lost in time. Up on Tyneside, they still gather early to discuss the merits of team selection to the strains of Jimi Hendrix, the Small Faces and, of course, the Animals. It ia quaint and all rather reassuring". Is that a compliment?

If I had updated myself to the 21st century and had internet access, then I'd be able to give you an answer. As it is I'm stuck in the 1960's, "Purple Haze" is on the gramophone, and I really can't understand why Frank Clark is still being left out for the left back slot.

As for the Grauniad - it would certainly know about being "lost in time". Mind - I can't say its very reassuring to read it! And all that Manure nonesense as well
