best way out?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Repossession : One Thread

I have a property with negative equity. Its situated in a rough area and was on the market for twelve months to no avail. Ive recently split up with my partner and am now struggling to pay for this house. All i want to do is get rid of it and get on with my life. I have other debts all in my name and i am prepared to carry on with the payments as normal, but because of these, plus agreed maintennance for my daughter, new living costs etc i cant cope. What are my best options for the future IE should i co-operate with the mortgage company or just do one and let them chase me. Ive not lived at the property for over three years and do not want to move back.

would appreciate any advice regards shaun
