gardening with guineas

Does anyone know how I can obtain the book gardening with guineas. I have tried before to raise these birds but have not had success the book talked about in the latest issue of Countryside sounds like it would be informative.

Hi connie, here's the web site hosted by the lady that wrote the book. www.geocities.com/Heartland/Meadows/9463/raising.html You can order the book right off her website. It's really a great site, she gives alot of info there and there is also a message board on it exclusively on guineas.

You can order the book Gardening With Guineas directly from the author at www.guineafowl.com. You can also order it at amazon.com or barnes&noble.com. I have found the adult birds very hardy and easy to care for. The problem is with the keets(baby guinea). They can't stand being wet or cold. Even a heavy dew in the a.m. is enough to do them in. I usually gather eggs(if I can find them), hatch, and brood them myself. If mom does manage to hatch her own, I try to capture and cage her and the keets until they are old enough to survive on their own.

Didn't I just see it advertised in the Countryside Mag? Check out the Countryside on-line book store.

Here are 3 sites I've found to be helpful: #1 www.abebooks.com. #2 www.bibliofind.com. #2 www.bookfinder.com. GL!
