Report: Washington admits, missile causes EgyptAir crash

Al-Ahali newspaper states that Egypt and the United States agreed to settle the case of last years crash of the EgyptAir flight 909, without involving the press. The United States along with Boeing agreed to produce false evidence for the cause of the crash to avoid any legal prosecution .

- April 27, 2000, 02:04 PM CAIRO (AROL) - Less than a year after the crash of EgyptAir Flight 990 in October 1999, unvieled infromation states that: The jet was crashed deliberately, by an American missile hit the plane down into the sea less than an hour after taking off from New York to Cairo, Egyptian daily reported. The popular opposition newspaper, Al-Ahali, has reported a different story. The paper states that Egypt and the United States agreed to settle the case of last years crash of the EgyptAir flight 909, without involving the press.

The paper added that the two countries agreed on the US paying off compensations of damages caused by the crash after disclosing the causes behind the mystery of the wreck.

The EgyptAir Boeing 767 plunged into the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Massachusetts on the 31 October last year. All 217 people aboard were killed.

A reporter of the paper in Washington quoted an anonymous source saying that Egyptian authorities obtained evidence that unveils the ambiguity of the EgyptAir crash. The paper said the crash was caused by a collision with a US missile after leaving New York heading to Cairo.

Concrete evidence came after comprehensive and intensive investigations. Egypt was able to prove to all parties involved the validity of the evidence it came across.

In a meeting with the Egyptian representatives, US administration admits charges, Al-Ahali reported.

A liable source told Al-Ahli that there was a secret pact between the two sides on a settlement without involving the press to avoid criticism of the US from the world community.

The pact also included compensating the graved families and the cost of the crashed plane.

Therefore, Al-Ahali added, the US along with Boeing agreed to produce false evidence for the cause of the crash to avoid any legal prosecution .

Al-Ahali claimed that most documentations were fabricated. The US theory says the cause of the tragedy is that one of the pilots deliberately crashed the plane by attempting suicide. And the US agents introduced videotapes showing the negligence of Egyptian pilots. The paper added, lastly an Egyptian pilot was encouraged to request political asylum in England promising him security and financial support.

Al-Ahali described the EgyptAir pilot, Hamdi Hanafi Taha, who claimed to possess information about the fatal crash last February seeking political asylum in Britain, was a cover up scheme. Adding that the story was an attempt by Western intelligence agencies to pressure Egypt to stop any further investigations into the disaster.

In order to complete the Egypt-US secret deal, the paper reported that the US and England had accepted all of Egypts desire to deny the pilot political asylum and prepare to send him back to Egypt.

The liable source of Al-Ahli, confirmed that the US missile caused the explosion of the plane immediately after its delayed departure from New York.

The paper speculated that the JFK Airport watchtower failed to report to the US Navy base, where the alleged missile was launched, that there has been a delay in the planes take off.

Al-Ahli has reported earlier this year that a Jordanian pilot was excluded from the witnesses list. At that time, the pilot claimed that he allegedly witnessed a flame close to his plane while flying over the coast of Massachusetts, in the same zone and time when the EgyptAir crashed, which he speculated that the flame may have been a missile that caused the Egyptian plane to go down in the sea.

Answers

Passed this up a couple of time. I have a hard time with "Washington admits" part. I would call this a shaky post.

My Dear Mr. Thompson,

Sir... I cannot call your post a "Shakey" post! I did not see the missile. I did not fly on the plane ( now that would be a Shakey trip, I will admit).

So please, I implore you. In the future use another similie...Such as a "Kennie Decker" rollacoaster! Or a "Y2K Pro" stumble bum...Even a "Feathering one engine" Hawk! Anything; but old Shakey! I have enough problems with the Polly bugs..... We seem to have a lot of the little chirping critters cropping up, thumping their pigeon breasts and singing "Happy Days are here again". The countryside is full of the little creeps at the moment you know LOL.

"As for me...I shall finish the Game"!

Boy, I don't believe any of this. Too far fetched for me.

Mr. Shakey Seems you took this as affront to you. I could have said the this was a questionable post. But then Mr. Questionable would probably have complained. I sure did not have you in mind when I posted it.

Regards

Martin

"Questionable," here. Mr. Martin you take such liberties with our handles!! And Mr. Shakey, how quick you are with your humourous afront. Next we'll have "Touchy" showing-up!!

On a serious note, I read the article with skepticism. The DFDR (unless it has been switched), simply does not support the missile theory.
