Like many of you I watched the press conference on CNN this morning where the Chief of the Miami PD resigned. When he said there was no way he was going to tell the Mayor about the rescue, law or no law, I actually jumped up and cheered. The Cuban community in Miami is under the control of the powerful and well-financed anti-Castro group. This pathetic pimp of a Mayor is nothing more than a puppet of this regime and will do exactly what he is told. Remember the former Mayor (Suarez) was just removed for criminal fraud and replaced by this mouthpiece of the Cubanos. Oh, did I mention that the former Mayor was also a shill for the Cuban cartel?

I spoke to my buddy in Miami a couple of hours ago and he told me there is a big demonstration planned for 4PM tomorrow to protest the Kidnapping of Elian by the evil U.S. government. He said the parade as they are calling it is supposed to be restricted to the 8th Street area but the word on the street is, watch out for big time troubles. These fucking anti-Castro Cubans could care less about our country or our laws. In their minds they OWN Miami and are justified in any action as long as it pertains to fighting Castro. I guess they would rather have Batista back who sold out Cuba to the highest bidder. These hot-headed Cubans will never have it the way they want it so dont expect any kind of reason from them.

I predict a serious riot tomorrow afternoon and the resulting aftermath will open oceans of opportunities for the politicians, who will say and do ANYTHING to protect their special interests and further hidden agendas.

Im not specifically anti-Cuban American but they have definitely upped my blood pressure. What pisses me off are the attitudes that these various immigrant groups have relative to the U.S.

There seems to be zero respect for THIS country and OUR laws. South Florida has turned into a big bunker from which the continuing war against Castro is fought. Fuck That.

This Mayor is an example of the nose thumbing we seem to suffer at the hands of these thankless minorities who should kiss the ground they have been allowed to walk on.

And yes I will agree that our government has had a hand in all of this to a certain extent. The bottom line is quite simple: obey the law or pay the price. That is the responsibility of every American and no one should be above that set of conditions.

I didn't see any chest thumping responses during that sad episode.....why? And am very sorry to hear you call parental rights a *red herring*...

My interest in this case grew when it became apparent that the Miami family was breaking the law and nothing was done about it. Future cases will be determined by the outcome of this one. In addition, countries around the world are looking at this case to determine how THEY should deal with children of U.S. origin that were brought to THEIR countries by non-custodial relatives who demand asylum. Right now, these other countries are STATING that the children should be returned, but there's no enforcement of the laws.
