Nurse Hathaway - your life is calling you!

So I think she should pack up and go join the father of her children where they all belong and stop messing around with Luka. She doesn't deserve Doug AND Luka, she has two illegitmate children to think about. In a way, Carol reminds me a lot of the TV show a few years back, The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd. Molly Dodd was another TV gal who had a baby and somehow had men falling all over themselves to woo her. Carol should be way too busy and tired to think about romance, she should do the right thing and go join Doug without messing up poor Luka's head, he needs to find someone nice for himself. (I know, I know, she is leaving very soon, but it bugs me that they're throwing her into a romance with my new favorite character, Dr. Luka.)

Sally--I like your title for this thread! It is pretty lucky of her to have 2 incredible, hot guys after her. Even JM commented on how lucky she is with both Clooney and Viscnic (sp?)

Doesn't anybody else out there think that maybe, just maybe, that kiss wasn't about romance? At least not for Carol? It was about an intense moment where both Carol and Luka decided to try and see if they could move on.

Arianne...it almost seems like that doesn't it? The way the kiss was, it was almost more friendly than anything else...not passionate, like a kiss on the cheek or hand or like a hug. It was like a 'thank you for being here today'.

well, i guess if we can look at the kiss as nothing romantic, and only friendly, maybe i can deal with it. i still don't like the whole idea, but it's easier that way.

Okay. We all know that Carol is going to join Doug. What if we didn't know. She doesn't yet right? I doubt she would have kissed him if she had. I don't think the kiss was especially passionate either, but they obviously get along and if it was actually over between she and Doug, then I don't see anything wrong with her getting to know Luka. Besides, Luka is doing a good job of messing with his own head :) - he has recieved no real encouragement from Carol and he is absolutly smitten with her anyway. Here is a question: does it matter that the twins are "illegitmate"? Do they have to belong with Doug? If JM didn't want to leave the show, wouldn't we all want her to be happy and move on, in whatever way she thinks best? Hmmm. Dr Luka is my new favourite too! "I am gong to keell Herb!" :D

Being illegitmate is not so big a deal, but having no father is. Carol's right in that 'they deserve a father' but that shouldn't make her go to Seattle, cos if she's unhappy with Doug it will be even worse for her kids than not being with him - though when they grow older they probly won't see it that way. They'd probably rather they knew their father than not at all. Carol needs to decided if she can trust him after he effectively abandoned her and her children - personally I don't think she should, but then she does have the twins to think of and she should decide soon, one way or the other - especially since this whole Luka thing's started now.

Hey, Luka's one of my favourites too {:-D Him and Corday anyway.

I think the kiss between Carol and Kovac was also about exploring. The writers have been teasing us with this relationship all year, I think they were trying to have Carol and Kovac resolve a few things...and who knows where it'll lead? Of course, as it's been said before, we ALL know she's leaving in 3 weeks, for Doug more than likely. But watching the show, we're supposed to act as if we didn't know this. :) Anyway, that's what I got out of it. It's a shame George Clooney won't make an appearance in the end this year. But that's just personal opinion on my part! :)

you guys dont sweat it! k? although i didnt like there *kiss* we all know carol is leaving with doug or with out doug( preferrably with him, but its not my desion...lol) there will never be anything between luka and carol...ever!

Thanks Juliet. That's what I've been wanting to say, but I've been afraid of the Doug fans :). I meant to direct that question to sally since she brought it up. Having a good father is great, but having a bad mother-father relationship is not great at all. Better to be in a loving different family, then an un-loving traditional one. Not to say that Caroal and Doug would be un-loving, but if they were, then....hold on- this is TV! Snap out of it!

LoL, May. You're right about the parents having a loving relationship. Carol & Doug DEFINATELY have that. It's a passionate, firey, star- crossed lovers romance -- but above all that, it's loving and caring. Those daughters would grow up knowing they were conceived from love. Carol needs Doug as much as her daughters do. Hopefully, next week, she'll begin to realize that any chances she thought she had of moving on aren't real -- that she'll always want to be with Doug. :-)
