If a friend were almost always late, would you resent it or simply allow for it?

Can you be counted on to be on time?

Here's something that irks me a bit, since I try to be on time, and usually succeed. There are some friends of mine who will never be on time, so I've learned that when they tell me a time to show up, they're never ready then. For those friends, I compensate by showing up later. What bugs me is when those friends develop an impression of me being late all the time, and make comments along those lines. I want to shake them and say, "You started it!"

Hmm I used to be on time... then I had kids. Oh well, I practice being on time to work and at work. As for friends, anything goes, I willl wait as long as it takes, and sometimes longer because my time is more important when I share it

Me? Late? I prefer "schedually impaired". There are too many things in my schedule between work, school, hobbies & 2 relationships therefore I have many bouts with tardiness. My husband gets horribly irritated over tardiness. I, being one with lateness, will always wait that extra hour for a friend. My girlfriend is also always late, and it's an unspoken agreement that when we arrange a meeting time, that meeting time is really a "within the hour" time span. I'm also in the habit of taking a book with me wherever I go, so I can sit down and read while waiting for others to show up.
