Another death soon?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : ER Discussions : One Thread

Has anyone else considered the possibility that Carol will actually be Lucy'd? That is, directly killed off. Maybe I'm just morbid, but she did attempt suicide once upon a time, and despite the fact that she has two kids and just made out with a new man, most people seem to agree that she's not the same person anymore since Doug left. Besides, the producers have said that her exit will be something that we wouldn't expect. Just wondering....

Gee, Alexis, I'm sorry. Not that I saw. Which thread are you referring to, so I can ask to have this one removed?

I don't think Carol's selfish enough to try suicide now - how cruel would that be to her kids? But I agree, she's more likely to attempt it, having tried it before.

I agree with Juliet. Working in the medical field and I believe she's a counsler (for rape victims), Carol would know better than to kill herself and leave her daughters without a mother. Look at how torn up she is about her daughters not having a full-time father, she'd never take their mother away from them. Yes, I suppose the situation is strikingly similar to what it was six years ago, but Carol would simply NEVER do that to her children. Since her father committed suicide and she attempted to do so she's a more likely candidate, but I still feel we have nothing to worry about.

Okay, calm down...I only mentioned it because I don't believe that Carol and Doug are getting back together. It would just be too perfect, too fairy-tale. We're supposed to be getting a surprise, according to the producers of the show--an exit that we wouldn't expect. And EVERYONE expects Doug to show up and carry her off to Seattle, which I just can't see happening. Carol may be a medical worker and a counselor, but she has made many selfish decisions and mistakes, and I still think it's possible. Besides, didn't she ditch the kids for a WHOLE DAY to be with Luka? Still, she's too smart to pull any stunt like that without due consideration, I'll admit that much.

She didn't "ditch" her kids the whole day to "hang out" with Luka. They're spending time with their grandmother, which is a good thing, since all new mothers -- especially those of multiples -- need a break sometimes. Anyhow, I was just going to say that Carol wasn't even going to bring anybody along to go CAR SHOPPING, which was why her children weren't with her. Then the nurses urged her to bring somebody along and since Randi had to work, Luka offered (though Randi would've gotten her the better car! LoL).

OK... the ER folks keep saying that Clooney is NOT going to be back on for a farewell to Carol and then they tell us that it is going to be something we won't expect. So maybe what they are really saying is that Clooney WILL be back because supposedly we do not expect that at all. Get my drift?! =)

Ok, I give up. Hee hee...I admit it, anything is possible. LOL. ;)

-- Cecelia (evilstoat@hotmail.com), May 01, 2000.

Amanda, I was beginning to wonder the same thing. I mean, who here actually EXPECTS him to show up? Few, if any. Sure, most people do want a Ross return to give closure to the Ross/Hathaway storyline, but wanting and expecting are two very different things. I guess anything's possible...
