does anyone know what "introductory" portions of chapters 13 and 14 refer to? should we read the whole chapters or is the final only going to cover up to a certain section for each? thanks...

the readings assigned were sections 13.1 to 13.11 and 14.1 to 14.5

there are some calm problems assigned that have to do with these sections, and you can look up which ones on the webpage under homeworks.
