Lawrence is a perfect melting pot of cultures & activities. We have a rich musical city, whatever kind of music you like, it is probably being performed live here somewhere. We have a great University, much artistic and musical talent from the students further enriching the town of Lawrence. We are only about 45 minutes away from Kansas City for that big city night out on the town. We have Jayhawk Basketball if you like sports, excellent restaurants of all kinds. We have the most wonderful downtown area like no other. I came here from Houston several years ago and will never leave this town as I love it so. The schools are excellent here too. We have some great museums and the Lied Center for theater productions, etc. Good people too, everyone for the most part is friendly, courteous, not a lot of crime, beautiful lake just outside the city and lots of fishing if you like that sort of thing, I could go on forever and ever about it but, come visit us, you won't be disapointed! Sincerely, Annette

I love Lawrence because we have so many people here from around the world. I am a high school student and I find it really exciting to interact with the different cultures. I have been to other cities, but they don't have the same kind of inspiring vibe Lawrence has. Musicians are everywhere, so you can't escape the music. Come into Lawrence and find out what I mean.
