World's Richest People, 1999
-- Bradford DeLong (email@example.com), May 04, 2000
I think that it is rather horrible that people can care so much about money and not about the starving and dying people in our world. I am not a "rich" person, but I have a big heart and believe that if you are to give what you have to those who need it, you are helping make this place a better world. We need to forget about the problem with our advancing technology and realise that people are more important than money. You can't put a price on a dying person's smile, just because you tried to help them. I may only be young but I personally think that that people who are greedy should spend at least one day suffering like these poor people do. I think that if they did have a heart, they would donate heaps of money or time to the needy.

you know what? Let's face it. Our world as we know it is completely self-centered. Nothing will change that. And as much as you deny it- money DOES matter. A WHOLE lot. So get over it. Rich people may be arrogant and petty but they do a whole lot for this world. Bill Gates for example. He made it possible for us to be communicating right now. There's something to think about.

Here in Mexico there are some people that have enough money to have their name in this list, the problem is that their money is illegitimate, they used their political power to put some millions (Billions?? i don4t doubt it) in bank accounts overseas(have you heard about Raul salinas Former mexico president4s brother??).
The problem is not people with billions, the problem is billions in bank accounts out of the country with out helping the contry generating jobs and things like that, i hate to say this but if there are people in mexico that is going to steal money, INVEST HERE !!!!
There is Carlos Slim (8 Billion) Yes, he have tons of money but every year is generating thousands of jobs, that4s the kind of people that i want for Mexico and the word.
