Hi John:

You are probably surprised to see a response on this one after all this time, but I went to this site,(Volunteers In Technological Assistance) and ordered their Village Technology Handbook. You are absolutely right; the topics covered in this book and others are especially relevant to homesteaders who "gotta do with what they got". The approach of many of these books is, "Okay; you are stranded in the middle of no where; lets make a hydro-electric dam!". The subjects covered are VERY detailed and well thought out. This book is a good addition to my library. Thank you for letting us know about this site.
