Trigger for Carol's Departure? (minor, minor spoiler)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : ER Discussions : One Thread

I was at the store last night and I picked up TV Guide to flip through while waiting in line. It had a little blurb about JM's departure and mentioned that her decision to leave was either based upon or influenced by working with a young mother who had cancer.

That's it...nothing too big, since we all know she's leaving. However, it might be yet another clue. NBC is being really hush hush about this episode...all thye really tell us is that she's leaving. well, duh...

I read that, I'm not quite sure what to think about it. I don't think she should slink off to Seattle like Doug did, but I have read that Weaver is on the "warpath" and Carol becomes a "victim" of it. Perhaps the storyline will simply further Carol's realization of her changed priorities? Just (SOB!) four more days to find out...

I'm not sure where I read it now but Carol gets into trouble for resusitating a lady who has cancer because she feels the lady would want to say goodbye to her children. She is told not to and she does it anyway. Feathers fly. Probably makes her take a look at things after she is scolded.

This speculation is REALLY getting on my nerves. But, since it's going to go full circle anyway, let me add my 2 (or 3) cents... you know what really bummed me? When I found out that it wasn't very probable Carol Hathaway was going to get killed off. I really wanted her to get killed off!!!!! Sheesh!!! What happened to the fun, old blood and guts ER?? Maybe the producers will surprise us and have her die off. I wish! But then who's going to go phsyco? Like, Carter went phsyco when Lucy died, but there's no one to go phsyco when Carol dies if she does. (which she won't.) It's pure torture waiting for the next epi!!
