Betty Sedberry print

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Southern Railway : One Thread

I recently purchased a print, perhaps a pen and ink drawing titled Southern Station, Charlotte. This particular copy is numbered 391/500, and signed by Betty Sedberry. Dated '86. I am trying to learn more detail concerning this print, but have been unable to find any additional information. Any information will be appreciated.

Thank you.

Sharon, I have a copy of this print as well. It is a pen and ink drawing and depicts the Southern Railway's beautiful E. Trade Street Station in Charlotte. The Spanish Mission Style station was designed by Frank Milburn and was torn down in 1964 when the tracks were raised to accomodate traffic on Trade Street.

Betty Sedberry maintains a shop in downtown Spencer, NC across the street from the Transportation Museum where she sells her artwork. I'm sure she could tell answer all your questions.

Hope this helps,
