Will someone PLEASE explain to me why CDs cost more in the UK than in the States. Now, don't give me that $$ to lbs. conversion.

Couple years ago, I was in London and went into Virgin Mega Store. Good selection in the Jazz area...and when I looked at the price..at FIRST I thought it wasn't so bad...14.99...okay I can deal with that. But then with the conversation...it's almost like paying 25.00. Now to go dollar to dollar...it should have been around 7.99...that would make sense...but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...they have to charge you an arm-and-a-leg for that. Not fair to you at all...no way!

What's the deal? WHY in the world is it more expensive there?

And while we're on it...why is the armpit-odor-killer so much more expensive in the UK?

Why? Are the materials used to make these products hard to find?

I'm so upset and confused. Does anyone want me to send something for your arm pits? and your ears?
