HAIL BLESSED JACINTA AND FRANCISCO!!!!!!

Thanks, Heavenly Father, for the beatification on the Fatima children Jacinta and Francisco. Jesus said that the angels of children always contemplate your divine face in heaven. It is such a joyful occasion to know that these two poor sheperds, who have been in the company of angels and saints in heaven, contemplating your divine face, are now beatified by the Holy Father Pope John Paul II. Thanks, o Lord, for giving the example of these simple children to a world where the little ones are being mistreated in families, segragated in many countries and places, put in forced labor, sexually abused, maimed by land mines, dying for lack of food, abondoned by parents, and worst of all, killed in their mother's womb. We ask you, through the intercession of the new Blessed, that your loving care be always present with these suffering children. We ask all this through Christ, Our Lord, who had a special preference for the little ones. Amen

It is indeed a wonderful day.
At about 4:30 this morning, I was able to watch a small part of the beatification Mass "live" from Fatima. Sister Lucia, 93 years old, was present and full of life and smiles.
During the time for comments (after the thanksgiving following Holy Communion), the Cardinal Secretary of State Angelo Sodano went to the lectern and announced that the Pope has decided that the third secret of Fatima will be made public. Now all the silly speculation and lies will end. Cardinal Sodano said that Cardinal Ratzinger's Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith will release the text of the secret AFTER they have prepared a helpful commentary. The Pope wants the text to be understood as using symbolic language, and the commentary will help us to understand the symbols. If I understood him correctly, Cardinal Sodano stated that there is a reference to the assassination attempt on the Pope within the secret.
Still all of this is truly secondary to the happy occasion. The two new "beati" really suffered greatly before dying so young, and they were very devoted to a deep prayer life, setting an example for us all. This morning, I attended First Communion Mass in my parish church. I thought of the "beati" when I saw about 125 little children (!) go up and devoutly receive Jesus for the first time.
God bless you.

Virgen a niqos. Gracias Dios Santo. I just came home from a pilgrimage of Fatima and Spain. While there we visited a retreat house where Sister Lucia went to retreat in a town called BRAGA. The nameof the retreat is now Monastery of Bom Jesus. While on retreat, Sister Lucia had a vision of the Blessed Mother, with her heart in one hand and Child Jesus holding her other hand. Child Jesus asked her "Why are you not doing what my Mother asked of you. " He appeared to her again in the courtyard. Our tour guide had a hand book in Portugese and I am looking for one written in English, since I have never before heard of this apperation. Can you please help me to locate this book in English. The portugese title is "El Mensaje De Fatima, Habla Lucia.

Hi, Lynda.
I think that the book you are seeking is:
"Fatima in Lucia's own words: SisterLucia's Memoirs," Fr. Louis Kondor, SVD, editor (Fatima, Portugal: Postulation Centre, 1976) -- possibly still distributed by The Ravengate Press, Box 103, Cambridge, Mass. 02138 -- but definitely available from the Blue Army, as noted on this page.

You may also want to take a look at this page, and take the link at the bottom to "Mary's words ... ."

Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us. St. James, pray for us.
God bless you.
