Hog behavior and fencing

Any one have the directions/plans for building a pig run out of pallets. Also, My 19 month old sow and boar raise their litters together. The boar is present for births, and will sit with the sow as she has them. They also allow me to give iron drops, check for injury, etc. with no upset at all. (Out of 2 litters, I have only lost 2 piglets. One was a tiny, weak runt, and one was accidentally sat on.) I was told by a behavior specialist that this was highly unusual. Anyone else have these experiences? Because of their behavior,I have piglets on order for 2001 already!

For pallets, I use T-posts, tie the pallets off, then tie or wire 2 more pallets in line then drive another T-post. I run them horizontal & the posts fit in the overhang of the boards. Pallets work great but I have moved up to using 1/4" welded wire stock panels.

If you can afford it use electric fence .You can move them from place to place .Let them till your garden in spring then let them clear it in fall.Gotta bounch of weeds? Let the pigs go to it !
