Where can I find out about steam engines?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

It seems I remember seeing a subject line on the Forum in the recent past that had to do with a gentleman near Branson, Missouri who manufactures steam boilers and engines. I believe that one of his products is called "Little Donkey". Can anyone tell me where to find the thread in the Forum (if indeed it exists) to find out about this information?

Dear John:

I just placed this ad in the Countryside Mag classifieds for Jan/Feb:

STEAM ENGINE. "Little Donkey" Powerplant (Genset.) 300 watts, 1HP continuous (25 Amps at 12volts.) Never used. Bought new July 1998, $3000, from Sensible Steam [See for description: click "Engine & Boiler Prices" -- "'Little Donkey' economy boilers (2hpvft)".] $1500 or OBO. 256-352-0630. Schenker, 633 C.R. 574, Hanceville, AL 35077.

Skip Goebel is the brains and mover behind Sensible Steam ... the most knowledgeable guy in the small steam engine biz in the world. He is just recuperating from some serious surgery, but hopefully will be back at work by the middle of next month. If you want more info on him or on my equipment for sale, contact me by fone, email, or snailmail. Good luck,

Bill

John:

In my answer to you above the forum software omitted Sensible Steam's address. It's -- www.sensiblesteam.com --. After you get there, click on "Engine & Boiler Prices", etc, as noted above.
