Saw the gig in Derby, the one with the compact and bijou audience. Shame about that, but the music was lovely - thanks.

I bought the new album (nice!) and asked the bloke on the stall about a CD of Ship to Shore. He said that the best way to make it happen is to hassle IOL/NMJ, so consider yourself hassled, and put me down for a copy.

I can even copy the CD meself if that makes it easier, and print me own sleeve notes with me old John Bull printing set. As you have a digital master of it, why not raise funds for a CD pressing by letting people like me copy it on our own CDRs for a tenner a time?

Thanks for the comments, glad you enjoyed that gig, bloody hot weather and a bit uncomfortable on that small stage. Not sure about carrying on using the visual show and wondered if you had an opinion about that. SHIP is scheduled for Autumn release and a lot of work has already gone into finding tracks from the same era to add as a bonus. Copious sleeve notes are under way too. It is a lot of work for us as a small outfit trying to maintain artistic indepedance and a high quality means we dont put out loads of 'stuff' and it has to be absolutely as good as we can get it. The CDR idea I will run past my webby friends as I know only a little about PC's downloads etc. I would rather it be a full package with all the details myself. A lot of people have asked for the album so hence our attempt to respond with some quality attatched. I have to say when I heard the masters again after twenty or so years I was amazed at what was present that I had not heard since we made it. Vinyl doesnt do it justice as so much goes missing and the tapes were recorded on great valve gear. The digital re-master has kept the sound accurately intact for CD so please bare with us. See the web site frontpage for news update which will tell you why we have been out of touch a bit lately. Its all for a good cause though and you cant write about life if you aint livin' it.Know what I mean? I am sure you do. Have a fun year. Mine will get better soon I just know it! Cheers, Nigel

It's now autumn - still waiting! Seems a shame that you have a digital recording I want, I have a tenner which you would probably take in fair exchange, and (as Janis Joplin once said) we just can't get it together man.

If I help with the teckernickels, I'll be happy to - I'm a web designer and amateur muso ...

peace, nik
