Believing without seeing

Just had to share with you all.

I asked our son the other day if he believes in and loves God even though he's never seen Him. His answer? A quick yes! Why, I asked. Well, he answered very matter of factly, He always says such nice things to me and He always helps me. Like one night, he said, I woke up cuz my leg was hurting (charley horse) and I couldn't even holler but I was whispering real loud Mama, Daddy but ya'll didn't hear me so, then I heard God talking to me. And He was talking so nice and it was making me feel better and I asked Him to make me feel better and I felt Him touch my leg and it started to get warm and tingle and then it felt better. I stayed up a while and we talked and then I went back to sleep. He talks to me all the time, he said. So, I love Him alot...even though I've never seen Him.

I have no doubt that God talks to him. It makes me feel blessed to see the wonder of it. To see him have so much faith even at his tender age.

And what is your son's age, Madame?

He's six years old. A joy and pure delight! And terribly smart, I might add. :) His teacher told me the other day that he'd been tested and he's reading on a fourth grade level. He's in kindergarten. It's neat because I can give him books to read about his religion and bible stories now. He's like a sponge...just soaks it all up. And lives it. Follows His words. He gives me hope. :)
