It's a tough w/end ahead.

Friday evening: golf 4-ball knock-out
Saturday 6:30am - 9pm: 54 hole golf tournament over 3 different courses...for charity .... followed by evening bash
Sunday: free!!! lounging around I guess
Monday: Golf.... Texas scramble event

The weather forecast for Saturday is looking grim so I'll be out in te rain for about 12 hours :-((
I've got sponsorship by the stableford point so the better I play the more the charity benefits. I've already earned them a few extra quid by screwing up last weeks medal and getting my handicap back up to 8.

I suppose I ought to spend Sunday with the family!

-- Anonymous, May 25, 2000

Geordie , play off 8 too , we shud try and get on one of ITK's charity days .. play 18 different courses in one day , now theres a challenge .. where do you play BTW ?

-- Anonymous, May 25, 2000

Sting,
play at Hockley nr. Winchester. (www.hockleygolfclub.org.uk - under development!!) ... just off the M3 at Winchester.

Saturday we're playing the Royal Winchester, South Winchester and Hockley. Being a complete idiot I agreed with some folk that condition of sponsorship was that I carry the clubs all the way round!

-- Anonymous, May 25, 2000

Hmmm, just noticed there's a medal on the Sunday as well... is divorce expensive! ;-))

forgot to ask... where's your club Sting?

Friday night straight to local after work, mosey out of there at around ten, wasted as no food all day. Chinese for supper and think about going out again.

Saturday, morning gym, afternoon watching (with my girlfriend) Northampton Saints tackle Munster in the Rugby followed by England match, probably in pub. Saturday night, cook afore mentioned girlfriend a meal then go out.

Sunday, chilling, washing, Championship Manager, Beer garden

Same for the bank holiday, may venture onto the golf course.

I've got the near-future in-laws coming over on Saturday, and as they live miles away they're staying the night! Have to keep 'em sweet for the moment anyways :-)

Sunday...goodness know what I'm up to. If the weather's nice then the garden needs some work, then maybes a BBQ.

Monday, all my neighbours are pitching in to make good the private road leading to our houses. It's full of bottomless potholes and looks a right mess.

Taking Tuesday off too, seeing hotel people at the wedding reception reception venue.

Nowt Monday.

And no bloody DIY either!!

I'm off to see Elvis on Saturday evening. Somebody has rumoured that he's dead, but I've got a ticket that says he's on at Edinburgh Playhouse so I'm going to see.

-- Anonymous, May 25, 2000

-- Anonymous, May 25, 2000

I'm sure I'll find something to do in the garden - and it won't be sunbathing :-(

-- Anonymous, May 25, 2000

Leave the poor hedges alone man!! there's no footy on at the minute!!

-- Anonymous, May 25, 2000

Although back at work I shall be heeding advice and taking fings easy over the non bank holiday in Scotland, I am still off from Friday to Wed, itinary for the Buff as follows, Friday night, monthly football meeting (sec), venue upstairs in local pub, duration 8pm -10 pm with break to replenish fluids, followed by general crack in bar until about 2- 3 in the morning. Took a long time to convince the committee wives that this here football was a serious business. Items for discussion, change our insurer, presentation night 16th June, tenders for the buffett etc etc, band and disco, sell tickets, organise Fun Week for August, notice a lot of BBs`s are BBB cuing this week, big talking point with committee, we make shoals of cash by running our own BBQ and Burger caravan, how are we covered by public liability?? so many bliddy rules, last years in our 5 a sides we had over 90 teams entered, from 5 to 14 male/female, plus darts, quizes. fishing compt, The big money spinner is hopefully in Sept, although we have arguably the best/biggest village hall in Aberdeenshire we are hiring a marquee, running our own bar #1 a can,#1 a nip, have booked Mike Penders Searchers (#3,000 + acc)- local band as support, tickets at #9, crossed fingers on that venture, Thats Friday took care of, Saturday, wife has heard it on the grapevine that I will be getting visitors on Saturday bearing gifts of Tennants and the Water of life, Rangers -v- Aberdeen , Scottish Cup Final, England/Brazil may be able to tape. Seeing as I am becoming mellow of late, Sunday anything wor lass wants to do Im on. Monday is going to be a crucial test for me, attempting first threeon main course, cop out on 9 holer, then back to first three, I hope to crack it, never get the full 18 on the biggie. Still trying to find out more about it, (McBeth may have info) but this top London Lights Designer has done a brilliant job on 3 mile of Glen Lyon ? in Perthshire, would like to book in local with June and do the midnight walk. All the romantics come out in the close season eh Gav, last thing Stevo are you still out there!!

-- Anonymous, May 25, 2000

ITK,

Come down to Bournemouth - you can come and have a cuppa with us!!!

-- Anonymous, May 25, 2000

Yelli

Not the address......obviously.....but what general area of Bournemouth are you in......my mate who we may be visiting is to the north of the town......round the West Parley area. Hes a Crystal Palace supporter, but you cant hold that against him..hes a canny lad really.

-- Anonymous, May 25, 2000

Careful ITK - Yelli's mum will have you doing the ironing and pruning her Hybrid Tees. And don't have any meat pie if you fancy getting out alive, even if she calls you her "Chum" or "Me Bonio Lad". Not worth the risk.

-- Anonymous, May 25, 2000

I'll take my dog with me and he can check it out......NOBODY would surely try and poison anyone or anything called Keegan would they?

-- Anonymous, May 25, 2000

Just found out the Elvis do is at the Kings Theatre in Edinburgh, obvious really

-- Anonymous, May 26, 2000

Hey Ken,

I might be down that way on Sunday as well.....let's have a party round Galaxy's house!!

Anyone else wanna come along?!?!

-- Anonymous, May 26, 2000

Hmm I can see I'm gonna have to try harder....not many people seem interested in this party...

Ahhh I know!! how about if I guarantee that there'll be no dog food pie there? just plenty of normal food, drinking and sunshine in a beautiful garden?

Sting can bring all his records down and Swift can bring an atlas to show us all where he's been in recent weeks....

-- Anonymous, May 26, 2000

Gav, I think you're in for a hard time (fnarr, fnarr) competing against Bobby's thread for folks to join you. I mean, it's pretty difficult to compete against something called a "+++5-a-side / Shag...update+++". You know what this lot are like. It's a no brainer really - even if you guarantee to eat aal the sarnies and pies yersel'.

-- Anonymous, May 26, 2000

But Galaxy will be really gutted if we don't all just turn!! I know she's keeping quiet about it (doesn't want to get let down you see!) but she's been out and spent a fortune on Chum and Broon Ale (Dog) for her Pals.....

-- Anonymous, May 26, 2000

Well of course you`re all welcome. I`ve been working on the menu all day. I shall be doing my `speciality` meat pies, of course, but I thought I`d push the boat out and do Chicken Ceasar Salad and Butcher`s Tripe, in case you fancied a something hot! Haven`t told my Chappie about the weekend yet, he`d give me a right Royal Canin`! (sorry if that was lost on those of you do not have any four legged friends!)

However, I strongly recommend anyone travelling south bring their wellies. Looks like a typical Bank Holiday coming up! (:o)

-- Anonymous, May 26, 2000

Aah-ha! As I thought - haven`t got the stomach for it eh?! (:o)

-- Anonymous, May 26, 2000

By the way - there`s a man up a ladder in my garden whealding a chainsaw! It`s pouring - and I do mean pouring, with rain, the ladder is wet and wobbly - one false move, and I may never have to buy dog food again!!! (:o)

-- Anonymous, May 26, 2000

Anywhere I can go with my wellies for a bit of wretling makes me feel like a Good Boy, I get so excited that I just want to Bounce around and buy lottery tickets cos I really do think I'll Winalot!

(It's at times like these that I wish I had pets!)....

-- Anonymous, May 26, 2000

Ooh Gav - you are a `wag`! And BTW that you for not posting the obvious calcium composed reply! (:o)

-- Anonymous, May 26, 2000

We're both slipping today honey! still I doubt either of us will ever do anything as funny as yesterday :))

Keep an eye on that chap outside....get the dogs to bark at him or something....Hang on a moment!!!

Is he wearing wellies, a crombie and an ice hockey mask? quick!!! he's cutting the telephone line!! it's the Viagra Man ;)

-- Anonymous, May 26, 2000

Have to agree about yesterday Gav! I was in stitches all afternoon - sometimes it`s easier to be funny when you are not trying! I seriously think this block will come a cropper though! And if he does, I think it will be slightly more than an elastoplast he`ll be needing! (:o)

-- Anonymous, May 26, 2000

Must be catching! bloke is what I meant to type! (:o)

-- Anonymous, May 26, 2000

You must be taking the same "nightclub bouncers" thicky training course as me :)) anyway I don't suppose it's their CHOICE to be thick...they can't help it if they aren't in their intellectual PRIME like me ;))

Right that's it....you get one more dog food reference in and you win cos I really don't know any more!! :))

-- Anonymous, May 26, 2000

OK Chum! I win!

BTW Don`t talk to me about nightclub bouncers! Not a favourite subject of mine! (:o)

-- Anonymous, May 26, 2000

Haha you'll have to try harder than that sweety!!

I used Chum about 11 postings ago ;))

-- Anonymous, May 26, 2000

I concede then! My brains numb and I`m fed up! Really wanted a warm, sunny weekend, a bit of rest and relaxation, and something to take my mind off the fact that I won`t be going to the States for the Shih-Tzu Club National Show next week. Nor am I in Trinidad sunning myself with the team, nor am I going to the England game. (:o(

-- Anonymous, May 26, 2000

Awww honey....we'll call it a draw then ;)

It could be worse.....you could be sitting in a baking hot place now (Switzerland) and know your coming back to rain (UK!) to go to a wedding for a person you've hardly seen in 3 years!!

I'm terribly sorry bout the England match....I did try to ring....

Why don't you plan some more checkout girl terrorising trips? see how many people will believe you about your "special" pies :)

-- Anonymous, May 26, 2000

Yeah, you`re right, could be worse - at least I`m used to the rain now! (:o)

-- Anonymous, May 26, 2000

Hey Gal. When that guy with the chainsaw has finished (assuming he's still in one piece) can you send him up to my place. I have something I'd like him to do.........and when he's done that, he can help me with the hedge.

Have a good 'un, one and all.
