Renee,

I can't believe no one has answered your post yet. Maybe you should post your question again - it's getting pretty far from the bottom. I'm not an expert on pigs but if they're not eating for more than a day, I'd certainly start worrying. Can you some how get a temp on them? I know that won't be easy but at least their small enough you can still do it. Maybe by the time people start answering your post, you'll have more to tell them. Sorry I wasn't more help!

Renee, Pat's right about getting temps on them if they're still not eating. How are they doing now? You mentioned the heat, even with shade they may not be getting enough air movement. You could try opening u[ the building if that's where they get their shade, or giving them a fan (HIGH up and the cord WELL out of their reach) or even hosing them off periodically during at least the hottest part of the day.

Pigs can be rather sickly things, even with medicated feed. Do you know their history? Did they come from a healthy place? If they're still off their feed, open a different bag and see if that makes a difference. Try tempting them with some other foods like a bit of whole grain or day old bread or scraps.

The coughing could be worms, dust, pig talk, or one of a number of diseases. If they're still off, try talking to the people you got them from, another pig raiser, or your vet.

Hope they're doing better by now, and sorry I missed your question. If they seem ill, contact someone locally immediately, if they just seem peaky, post again and we'll see what we can come up with. Gerbil
