Newcastle United are keeping a close eye on Danish striker Peter Lovenkrands.

The 20-year-old AB Copenhagen striker, who is valued at #1million, has been under the watchful eye of United's reserve team coach Tommy Craig.

Craig has been impressed with what he has seen of the player so far.

Craig said: "He's got plenty of ability, blistering pace and he's left sided which is a bonus." ============================================================================

You may have been thing of Tommy Burns who left to manage Reading and was subsequently sacked I believe. Tommy Craig is still the reserves coach. A great bloke to chat to over at the training ground as well.

I Remember seeing Tommy Craig score a penalty against the mackems once, about 1977 I was 7. I think he left after that.
