A special request

I have been trying to get the radio stations in Nashville, TN. to play "Taking You Home" by Don Henly for the past three weeks now. Their resposes "We don't have it" and this one cracks me up "I've never heard of it". And yet they can play Macy Grey, N'Sync, and Brittney Spears over and over again. I din't have anything against those groups but do we need to hear the same song all the time? No! Anyways if you live in or near Nashville will you please call the radio stations and ask them for this song. Maybe eventually they'll get the hint! It's time for Nashville to wake up now! Thank you!

Funny. All our stations that play normal pop/rock stuff play it all the time. And for the first 2 weeks after "Such Sweet Sorrow" aired they would always mention it was the song heard on ER. And for only a couple of days after the episode aired, WPLJ 95.5 would play the version with bits of dialouge from the ep mixed in. I wish they would keep playing it, but they only played it through the weekend after May 11th, and then by Monday, I never heard it again.

They have been playing it in Nashville. Try 92.9 or 97.1. I have heard it on both.

Maybe you should switch stations. The one you're requesting from sounds like a teeny-bopper station. Don Henley is from the old guard; so try a soft rock or classic rock station.

Cammie, Don Henley will be on David Letterman this wednesday and on the Today Show (NBC) this friday. I'm sure he'll be playing the song again
