http://www.nandotimes.com) - At least five people died Saturday when a plane carrying five or six passengers crashed in Thury-en-Valois, in northern France, killing all aboard, police and emergency workers said.

The plane, a Piper PA-46, was traveling between the English Channel island of Jersey and Allendorf in Germany, police said.

The reason for the crash was not yet known, although a violent storm was under way in the area around the time the incident occured.

Five bodies were found inside the plane, but the original flight plan mentioned six people, and police were searching the area Saturday night for an eventual sixth victim.

The plane belonged to a man living in Frankenberg, Germany. The details of the passenger list had still not been announced.
