Do building societies ever reimburse?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Repossession : One Thread

My house was repossesed eight years ago, and it was sold for twice the amount borrowed. What happens to the equity that i had built up in the property? I have never heard from the building society since, should I have received the excess cash made from the sale of the property?

Answers

Theoretically, yes. Though you might expect them to retain costs, etc.
