Interesting info....

I would just like to know if anyone else noticed this...When I was watching an ER re-run the other day, which just happened to be the season 5 opener (Lucys first show), I realized that while Carter and Lucy were treating a patient that sold insurance, she tried to sell the two of them life insurance saying that the workplace was vey dangerous and they should have something couvering them in case of injury or death...The only other pesron she tried to sell to was Jerry. Now I don't know how advanced they write these things, but thats really creepy and I was just wondering if anyone else noticed?

I doubt at that time TPTB knew what was going to be coming up with Lucy. I don't remember exactly which epi that was, but Kellie Martin was on contract and then by mutual agreement (supposedly) they let her out of it. But that is really eery...especially if they did NOT know what was going to happen to Lucy and Carter. Is that the same epi where they discussed their religious beliefs?

Wasn't she the last blonde that Carter hooked up with? Well, no I guess not because he hooked up w/his cousin's ex-wife this past season. But anyways - wasn't the insurance girl the one he broke up with on the boat on the epi "The Good Fight"?

None of them actually needed life insurance, unless Jerry had dependents. In retrospect, it was kind of a creepy scenario, considering what happened later to Lucy and Carter.

I thought what was REALLY creepy was in an episode just before Carter and Roxanne started dating. She and Carter were talking and he remarked, "...yeah, I'm more likely to be maimed then killed...". Yikes.

Creepy is right! Do you remember the music that was played in the beginning of every episode of "The Twilight Zone"? That tune is how I wouls describe that.

Amanda, I think the epi where they discussed their religious beliefs was the Christmas epi in Season 5.

Carter's blonde (Roxanne) didn't sell insurance, she was a financial consultant of some sort-- but very pushy.

I've seen this acronym (?) throughout this website, but can't figure out what it means: TPTB. What does it mean?

The Powers That Be - that confused me too!
