Faith and Tribes were the first ER episodes I ever saw. Actually, I vaguely watched Long Way Around, but Faith was the first all-cast show I saw. So anyways, I enjoyed recently seeing Tribes and the basketball games and friendly interaction between Mark, Doug, and Carter...and Malik!...and their attempts at getting Benton in on it, although he is always preoccupied with something. Now, I would jump up and down to see something like that. Them joking around and watching Carter become a better doctor every day. Season 3 was really kind of the year of triumph for Carter. He does something great every episode near the end.

ANd some irony: I never knew that Carol's "Long Way Around" hostage situation was also on Valentine's Day. Pretty eerie holiday for the ER staff.

I totally agree with that. That is eeire. Carol could have died that day and exactly three years later Lucy dies and Carter almost dies. Too bad Carol didn't remember that she could have died three years earlier. Then maybe she would have showed more emotions to Lucy's death.

Carol also nearly died 3 *months* earlier during her c-section.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Even creepier. She almosts dies in the hospital and Lucy does die in the hospital 3 months later.

ANother irony...every big trauma involving a major ER character (Carol, Mark, Carter) occurs on the day of or just after a new character arrives. Carter arrived the day Carol attempted suicide, Anna arrived the day Mark was beat up, and Abby started just one show before Carter and Lucy were stabbed. Just thought some people would like to ponder this.

Elaine, good catch! I had not noticed that. Its a wonder they can keep the ER full of doctors...with all the problems they have there you'd think some of those new people would just want to run right back out the door! :)
