Why Lucy out?

I am a HK watcher. I just watched the episode "All in the family". The death of Lucy really shocked me. But I just want to know why Kellie Martin quitted the show. Was her contract end? Or did she have some problems in the show making or have bad relationship with other charaters? I heard that some of the US audiences didn't like Lucy very much. Is her leave because of that?

No. Kellie Martin said she left because she felt her character was not going anywhere. I loved Lucy. I dont know why anyone wouldn't.

I think that it was cold for them to do that. They should have done more with her character. If they wanted to kill someone they should kill off Cleo. I'm sorry if that offened anyone but I just can't stand her. Kellie left because of her character not doing alot. The only scenes she had this year with any major cast members were Benton and Ramano. She had none with anyone else. Now ther's a rumor that they may be geeting rid of DR. Dave next. If he goes so will I. Meaning I will no longer watch it. There was also a rumor a while back that Kellie said that she never felt like she belonged in the cast. I don't know if that's true. Does anyone know if that's true or not?

Kellie Martin said on Reggis and Cathy Lee that she left the show because she felt that she didn't fit in. I was really hurt that they killed off Lucy, you know they could have just had her live after the stabbing and then leave because she couldn't deal with what happend to her. If she just left, she could be brought back in the future, you know to face her fear or whatever. Plus she was the only reason I started watching the show!
